      EVENT INFO
        The Detroit Month of Design™ is a citywide collaboration of creativity that gathers designers, consumers, residents and the greater community to celebrate Detroit’s role as a national and global design capital. 

        Established in 2012, Eastern Market After Dark has grown to be a highly anticipated part of our yearly programming, drawing over 33,000 attendees annually and highlighting a range of emerging and established designers.
      DESIGN CORE
        As the steward of Detroit’s UNESCO City of Design designation, Design Core tells Detroit’s design story locally and globally. The Detroit Month of Design is produced by Design Core and co-created with community. It is the most diverse design festival in the country.

        Design Core champions the transformative power of design in Detroit by supporting the creative problem-solvers using design solutions to improve our city’s economy.

      Cars, Kicks & Culture is an immersive experience set to debut in Detroit—the birthplace of American performance and cultural grit, during the Detroit Month of Design and Eastern Market After Dark, the most diverse design festival in the country. Set with the coolest art, music, cars, sneakers, and cultural trendsetters, the 2 day experience features panels, music, exhibitions, a sneaker design activation, viral photo moments, and most importantly a good time.



      About the event

      Foxxtecca: Cars, Kicks & Culture is a two-day immersive experience at the intersection of sneaker culture, automotive design, and urban innovation. Rooted in storytelling, creativity, and community, this event celebrates and examines the relationship between the automotive industry’s performance and grit, with the undeniable influences of culture that have helped to shape, sustain, and reinvigorate brands.

      Torque & Tread

      A Youth Sneaker Lab from Foxxtecca, Odysee & Footlocker

      Foxxtecca is partnering with Footlocker and renowned sneaker artist Mike Fletcher of Odysee to present Torque & Tread: A Youth Sneaker Lab, during the upcoming Cars, Kicks & Culture (CKC) event. 

      This unique youth sneaker design workshop will provide middle and high school students from Detroit and Flint, MI with a unique opportunity to merge creativity, personal style, and automotive culture.
